New Investigation into the Market for Art and Framing Planned

Reseach sponsors needed to guide and direct a new consumer insights study of the art and framing market

Unity Marketing, a consumer insights research firm that has been at the forefront of research on the art and framing market, will conduct a new survey among recent buyers of art and frames.  The study is planned to field early in 2009 in order to record purchases throughout the 2008 sales year.

In order to make the research both relevant and actionable for marketers and retailers that compete in the art and framing market, Unity Marketing needs a select group of companies to sponsor the research efforts. 

Research sponsors will define the objectives of the research investigation.  Sponsors review the survey form and make recommendations that to refine the questions asked.  They will be afforded the opportunity to add exclusive questions to the survey study.  They will get the results of the research early and first in order to implement competitive marketing strategies ahead of the rest. 

Best of all, the costs of research are shared so sponsors gain many of the benefits of a custom research study at less than one-tenth of the cost.

Sponsors will gain consumer insights

The research study planned will include an in-depth survey of 1,000 recent buyers of art and frames and/or framing services.  The results of the survey will provide sponsors with these important insights that will improve their marketing and business planning:

  • Who buys art and frames:  The results of the survey will provide sponsors with demographic information about the primary buyers of art and frames, including gender, age,  income, household composition, occupation, ethnicity, and other demographic distinctions.  This information will be valuable for business and marketing planning.
  • What art and frames they buy:  Details about the types of art bought will be collected, including the type of product as well as favorite artists, themes and brands.  These insights will support product development strategies and operations.
  • Where they buy art and frames:  The survey will gather information about the type of stores where art buyers buyers shopped in the past year, as well as more detailed information about what they look for in the stores where they shop and the services that they value in the shopping experience.  Included in the shopping section of the survey will be a special investigation into the role of the Internet among art and frame buyers.  The results of the survey will guide sponsors in their distribution strategies.
  • How much they spend on art and frames:  Critical data about how much art and frame buyers spend on their  purchases will be gathered.  This data will provide information about the size and trends in growth of the overall art and frame market, as well sales by product form or type and by channel of distribution.
  • Why they buy:  And most important for forward-thinking art and frame marketers and retailers will be an in-depth investigation into the attitudes and motivations that influence the shopper to buy. 

Sponsors will define the overall parameters of the survey and provide the list of products, items and brands to be included in the survey.  If your company makes, markets or retails art and frames or framing services, you will benefit greatly by being involved in the research study at the outset, rather than wait until the final report is written.  That way your company's information needs are addressed in the research investigation.

Sponsorship Fee:  Sponsorship fees vary depending upon the total number of sponsors available.  Typical fees range from $2,500-$5,000.
